We will be driven off the beaten track along the “Route des Grands Crus” from Dijon to Nuits- Saint-Georges.You’ll see and walk through the beautiful vineyards, discover the castle « Clos de Vougeot », and the charming wine villages…
Your English speaking guide will explain you how to decipher the complex Burgundy wine label as wellas the importance of « terroir », the history, our farming methods, the very important art of wine tasting…
Then we will visit a traditional vaulted wine cellar, you’ll meet the winemaker or sommelier who will sharehis or her passion for wine.
We will taste 4 or 5 wines at each tasting stop, to be served with local Gougère. (Burgundian cheese puffs). An initiation into the art of wine tasting will offered at each cellar.
Then, we will visit the Castle of le Clos de Vougeot (old winery of the monks built at the 12th century).

Trip time : 3 hours approximetely, everyday, by reservation only Bilingual visit : french/english  ; Departure at 9.30 am 2.30 pm from the Tourist Office of Dijon or from your hotel. Minimum of 2 people
